It won’t be released in the states till March, but Things As They Are: Photojournalism in Context Since 1955 can be pre-ordered on Amazon.com or depending on where you are… it came out in Europe a couple months back (for a big World Press Photo shindig) and it’s available on Amazon UK right now.

How do I know and why do I care? The author - Mary Panzer - is a friend of mine. I think Mary is wonderful and she’s so knowledgable about all manner of history, especially photojournalism. She was the curator of photographs at the Smithsonian for awhile and she’s also a professor at NYU. Oh, and her dog, Rafter, is one of Snick’s bestest friends!
