Eight Below (To See or Not To See)

Anyhoo…
My mom emailed me last night and said I have to see this movie, Eight Below. At first I couldn’t place it, so I looked it up on imdb. That jogged my memory. I saw a trailer for this when I went to see Good Night, And Good Luck. My reaction when I saw the trailer was "Ooh! It has dogs in it! :)" and then "oh, what a hokey looking movie. :(" What’s with the big Barnum & Bailey-ish tag line "The Most Amazing Story Of Survival, Friendship, And Adventure Ever Told" (emphasis mine)???
Other than the cute dogs, I wasn’t much interested. However, my mom liked it, so I checked out a longer trailer online. This looks like a good movie. The thing is… I started CRYING about halfway through watching the trailer. How can I see this movie without bawling? ~T~ says I’m a wimp. I dunno. We’ll see.

I told Mike I won’t go see it because I already KNOW I’ll be crying my way through the movie. I can’t even watch the trailer anymore, so don’t feel bad
