Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Posted Friday, November 24th, 2006 by nycgadgetgirl

Brooklyn Botanic GardenMiss ~T~ and I went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for the first time last month. A friend that lives in Brooklyn invited us out to visit the Garden and have dinner w/her in Park Slope. We almost never venture into the boros unless we’re headed to the airport, but we make exceptions for friends. Boy, were we glad we did! Everything was just gorgeous, dinner was delicious and the company was wonderful.

I uploaded my favorites of all the photos ~T~ took. Click the pretty picture to visit the gallery.

Thanks for the great day in Brooklyn Pam. We owe you one!

This garden will be breathtakingly beautiful in spring time with so many gorgeous flowers, especially cherry blossoms.
As they have many different types of cherry blossoms that bloom in different times, you better check their website before you go.
Japanese garden’s weeping cherry trees usually peak in mid April and their main star “Kwanzan” will peak from late April to early May and in that time they have Sakura Matsuri(Cherry flower veiwing festival).

Cherry blossoms will be followed by Lilac, Wisteria, Azarea, BlueBell(do not miss this one), Peoney(do not miss this either), Rose and so may others.

Also Bronx botanic garden is very nice in a very different way. It is like being built in Bronx’s wild nature.
