She’s still in Miami Dade Animal Services. They agreed to hold her until Saturday afternoon. Through a jillion emails and phone calls (I swear my friends and I have talked to every rescue organization in Dade and Broward Counties.) I’ve located a veterinary hospital that will take her in and board her for a reasonable rate. I had to give them a hefty deposit of course, but at least she’ll be safe while I look for a long-term foster or adoptive home for her.

There is a new wrinkle though… the volunteer that had said she would pull Kaos from the shelter has disappeared so I’m SCRAMBLING to find someone that can go today to get her from the shelter and transport her about 45 minutes north to the vet. If anyone has any contacts in Florida that might be able to take a couple hours out of their day to help save Kaos’s life, please contact them. If you find someone to do this, let me know and I will give you all of the details they will need.
