I Was Not Prepared for This

NYC Shiba Rescue has been around for less than a month and we just took in our third foster dog, Sabrina. Surely there won’t always be so many…?
Finding foster homes - and then adoptive homes - at this rate is practically a full time job. And, in case you don’t know, I already HAVE a full time job. And a ton of freelancing work. And a kid. And two dogs. Good thing I have no social life!
Anyway, you can read about Sabrina, and our other foster dogs, on the NYC Shiba Rescue Blog.

Good for you, taking this on. I know it’s a lot of work but it’s rewarding. Bri, Hero, and Suzie are lucky Shibas!

Heh… I wish I could have more too. If I didn’t have Secret, I would adopt Bri in a heartbeat. She is exactly what I was looking for when I first started looking for a “sister” for Snickers!

Don’t give up hope. I’ve been doing resuce for 10 yrs in AZ. Fosters are the hardest but it does seem to work out in the end. Each life you help has endless rewards to you. I once had someone tell me I’ll get my reward in heaven, I get my reward each time a dog destined for destruction finds a new lifelong home.
Keep fighting the good fight.
