Stay At Home Vacations…

Posted Thursday, April 5th, 2007 by nycgadgetgirl

…are A Good Thing

Today I slept late. Again. :) Had coffee at the dog run. Came home and did a TINY bit of apartment cleaning (never did it the other night when I said I would). Had more coffee with an old friend. Went to the pet store. Ate a yummy late lunch from new soul food place in da hood. Did a bunch of financial stuff on the ‘puter. Answered some email. Sorted and dropped off laundry. Went to the dog run so Snick could play with an old girlfriend. Managed a few Shiba things here and there. Completed and filed my state and federal income taxes.

Why does that not sound like enough for one day?

Probably because you are always running 90-to-nothing and don’t know how to live any other way. ;-)

I woke up at 10, had lunch with a friend, missed the dog, who is in LA, so much that I pretended to walk him in the park. Now, THAT is a full day.
There is a design business in Venice, CA on chi-chi Abbot Kinney Blvd called ADHD and they have a big sign up that says “Why start one project when you can almost finish three?”
There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

TODAY I was lazy. I accidently slept until 1:45 PM!!! Poor Snickers was like “uh, hello? I haven’t been outside for 14 hours mom…”

My dogs drug me out of bed this morning, then looked appalled when they got outside and realized it was 19 freakin’ degrees out there.

Good grief. What happened to Spring??

LOL cause you’re like most of my friends…have to be busy busy busy all the time :-)

If it makes you feel any better, I was annoyed that I had to walk down my block a few Sundays ago. I embrace the occasional lazy day like nobody’s business.
