He sent me Alpaca socks! I checked my mail today and I had
- Alpaca socks (and they are the softest damn socks you ever touched!),
- the July/August copy of Hobby Farms with a bunch of Alpaca info in it, including an article by Adrian,
- a brochure with a lot of Alpaca history, which I haven’t read yet, and
- I swear to god(ess)(es) I am not making this up… A BAGGIE OF ALPACA FUR! I guess it is called Alpaca wool, but it is SO SOFT.
So, now I feel like I have almost petted an Alpaca! Thanks Adrian!!!

Now, if I could just spend the night in a yurt, I’d be happy. Anyone wanna send me a yurt vacation?

I do that with Wolf’s fur sometimes…save it in a baggy, it’s so soft! Mostly I scatter it in the yard for the birds to use in their nest building!
Um…I’m having Snick withdrawal…could we get a picture, please?
That is so great!! What does Snickers think of the new fur on you?? My shibas usually get very interested in snuffing the wool
That’s very cool.
(But no, I don’t really want to pet your feet.
)
I get to pet real alpacas this weekend! This weekend is National Alpaca Farm Day* and there’s an alpaca farm about a half-hour from my house, so I’m going to visit on Sunday afternoon.
* Yes, I know the weekend is two days. I didn’t name the event!
Janet – I posted a Snick post for you.
Rae – I didn’t let Snick get to the Alpaca wool, so I dunno!
Debbie – Phooey. I wanna go. Take pictures!
here’s a thought. Alpaca’s look like push me pull you’s from Dr Dolittle, if you had a push me pull you, you could indeed live in a yurt as all they can do is go around in circles.
And this is what happens when you go to the dog park at 10pm and start on strange topics
