Years ago, my Human noticed these weird high pitched chirping birds that flew around her outside lights when she'd come home at 2am. Eventually she realized they were bats. I think I'm okay with anything that's a pet, but if it's wild in any way I don't like them. Like rats, mice, pigeons, squirrels. I think I'm scared of anything that doesn't take baths. lol Now that I know they clean themselves I'm a little less scared of them. And I know, cause I actually nursed a sick pigeon, that was literally standing in a corner by my building, all fluffed up, in its own filth, eyes half-closed, waiting to die, unable to fly or care for itself. Pigeons mate for life, and the males and females rear their broods together. They live 15 or more years, if rasied by people. And the oldest known pigeon on record, lived for 30 years! Most New Yorkers think they're dirty and filthy, but on the contary, they are quite clean! They are constantly bathing in water and grooming themselves. (and family groups will groom each other!)
