A (gay, male) coworker alerted me to the existence of National Underwear Day this morning. He and I made a lunch date and strolled the few blocks to Times Square to get our ogle on. As we were leaving, I thought “oh… blog. photos. cell phone. duh!” Unfortunately, my res was set low, so the photos don’t do justice to reality at all.
Other than the obvious eye candy, my favorite moment was watching a 60-something female tourist have her picture taken with one of the models. Who was wielding the camera? Her husband, of course!
PS There were girls in underwear too, but, you know… who really cares???
I didn’t see you in the crowd. I was the one in mauve briefs with a chiseled jaw, an 8-pack, and a really deep tan…oh wait…
Truly saddened that I missed what is clearly the biggest summer event in the city.
Nice! How come we don’t have national underwear day in Chicago? Or do I just need to start hanging out on different street corners?

Ha! Thanks for the offer, unfortunately I’ll be in Seattle by then. That is, unless, my craving for New York style pizza hasn’t driven me back to Manhattan. =)

avoiding tourists = worthwhile
avoiding tourists in Times Square = worth walking the long way
hot boys in tight underwear = worth the trouble!!!
