My Clients Boss Me Around

I spent a few hours at a client’s office today, updating computers and fixing minor problems. He told me to go back to college. He’s an executive coach and a pretty smart guy, so I said “OK,” and filled out a readmission application for CUNY tonight.

How am I going to find time for THAT???? :-O

Will you be going back to college to study anything in particular? Please make it something interesting so I’ll enjoy reading about it on your blog — thanks in advance for considering my needs

If you consider math and computer science interesting, you’re in luck. Although, with my schedule and responsibilities it will take YEARS before I get to any interesting classes. <sigh>

Hmmm… how about we ditch the math and try something like anatomy and physiology, with a cadaver lab? Huh, huh? Think of the stories you’ll be able to tell, the shared experiences over formaldehyde… I think you should consider it. Remember this fact: everybody loves a story about a cadaver.

Oh Leigh-Ann… just when I was thinking we had so much in common.

Cadaver? To me, that’s slightly more exciting than comatose (or is it closely related?). I’ve been around a few cadavers and don’t like telling the stories (nothing terribly gross).

Go back to college? Great idea. I don’t have the time or energy, though. Unfortunately, I’m still a slave to my debts. *sigh to the second power*

I’d rather take dance lessons. I was dancing before I could walk. ?? Anyway; whatever. (I think I just confused myself.)

    Hang in there, young lady.

Um, yeah, I think you just confused me too Tim.

Actually, I’m a slave to my debts too unfortunately. That’s why I’ll be taking Saturday classes while still working a full time job AND my freelancing gigs. Yikes!

Tim, you obviously needed to be in A&P class with me I never felt the cadavers were gross either, but let’s face it… it’s easier to write a blog entry which starts, “So I walked into the lab and on the slab in front of me lay the body of…”, than one which starts, “So I walked into the classroom and on the chalkboard in front of me was a calculus question so sexy it made my hair stand on end.”

Or wait… what about calculus *while* dancing? I see a sitcom in this.

As long as no one is dancing with a cadaver, we’re good.
